What The Club Says
Cowdenbeath golf club was originally built as a 9 hole course on the old Dora Coal mine site. Work began in 1988 and the course was completed and ready for play in 1991. The length of the course was 3315 Yards. The course was extended to 18 holes and opened by Sir Michael Bonallack in 1996. The length of the course is now 6207 yards with a standard scratch score of 71.
A new clubhouse was built and officially opened on 6th December 1998 by ex-provost James Cameron who had opened the first clubhouse.
The course is full of character and charm and is a picturesque parkland layout with gentle undulations and tree lined fairwys. It provides a challenge for both high and low handicappers.

Nice Course
Played this course before ,we liked it so booked again, it was a baking hot day and the greens were fast which I couldn't handle plus just couldn't read them today, it is well layed out and in good condition.Reviewer Rating

Better and better...
This course was developed from 9 to 18 holes. The nines are quite different, but both very interesting with big greens. The condition of the bunkers has been transformed following investment from Fife Golf Trust which runs the course. The Greenkeepers deserve medals: how three staff can produce a course of this quality is astonishing. Just go play it!Reviewer Rating

Good course
This is a good golf course, variety of holes the par 3 4th is a great we hole ( I had a nightmare at it), the course was in good condition. Only thing wrong was the clubhouse was shut when we got back in( only 3.30pm) so nothing to eat or drink to have.Reviewer Rating
