What the club says: At a time when so many golf course architects believe in moving heaven and earth during construction, Denham is a monument to the opposing school more used to accepting what it finds. There are no island greens, vast carries from the tee or a succession of problems far beyond the average player. Instead, sitting comfortably in the Buckinghamshire landscape, it combines challenge and enjoyment for everyone. It is neither child's play for the proficient nor torment for the rank and file, one of many reasons for its popularity among its visitors.

A Braid Favourite

Always a joy
Plenty of bunkers decommissioned & evidence of ground maintenance around but didn’t detract from the enjoyment. Despite a lot of heavy rain an hour earlier little sign of casual water. Some greens were though very soft but they played superbly & had the best breaks to read I’ve played all winter.Reviewer Rating

Stunning Course Stunning condition
Compared to the many courses I play on my normal budget, this clearly put those in such a bracket. You get so much more here for VFM. Love this course & never seen it in better condition. Greens just stunning - too good for me.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 110 Handicap: 23

Nice course, quite and classy
This is a really nice course, I have played at a few in Bucks and have to normally climb heart attack hill on most of them but this course is nice and can be navigated in a fairly straightforward manner. The greens are good however some are faster then the others but this is a small thing, overall the place is good quality.The only down side is the club house does not serve food after 3pm which is usual especially when the course was busy and we finished at 3.15pm - was very hungry however made it up on the beers instead - as you do...

This is becoming a firm favourite of mine. Very well maintained course. Lots of interesting holes with blind spots and elevation changes. Lightning fast greens which often catch me out.
Very old school feel to the place - don't get caught playing slow in front of the members! Very friendly in the pro shop. Grass range, good putting green and chipping area.
A 'proper' golf course and a good test of ability without being too penal on the high handicapper.
£40 with a county card or £50 without (mid-week). Good value even at full price and cheaper than nearby Gerrard's Cross (£65) and Buckinghamshire (£110!).

The course was quiet in the evening, we got round 18 holes in under 3 hours. The whole set up exudes class. The tees, fairways and semi are all looking good. The rough is rather penal and sometimes close to the landing areas. The greens were excellent, despite the wet weather they rolled really well and had very few pitch marks. The layout is a thinking course, it's useful to know the correct lines on some holes.

This is a great course - a fair test of golf whatever your handicap. No 2 holes are the same and every hole poses a challenge. Not the longest course but very well laid out.
