What the club says: This delightful 9 hole parkland course has been considerably extended in recent years, and consists of seven par 4's and two par 3's. For gentlemen the par and standard scratch is 68, and for ladies it is a testing 70. The layout provides an excellent challenge for golfers of all abilities.

There are a few slopes to negotiate but you are rewarded with some truly magnificent views along the Urr valley, north to Cairnsmore of Fleet and south to Kippford and the Lake District hills. The course is a haven for wildlife - birds of prey fly overhead, deer are often seen and woodland song birds abound in the . - so you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy this course

Excellent course

We played 9 holes yesterday evening. We were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Not long but lots of interesting holes and the greens are very fast and true. Excellent value for money too. Would recommend highly.

Glad I joined

I toiled over joining a new club after taking up golf after a lengthy break and I have chosen a pure winner! The course is very well maintained, even with the scorching hot summer this year the course stayed lush and green. The course to play is challenging and so much fun choosing how to play each hole. Looking over the hills of Dalbeatie, on a clear day makes it a pleasure to walk around and the friendly staff who have always been so helpful make the experience even better!

Considering the amount of rain the night before, the course was in excellent condition hardly a puddle in sight and none on the greens. Greens were slow because of rain and true. Fairways were appropriate for the course, the semi rough playable and the rough ball-gobbling.
