What the club says: Cleckheaton Golf Club was designed by world renowned course architect Alistair MacKenzie. His design has recently been lengthening to 6155 yards, adjusting both the Par & Standard Scratch to 70, while ensuring the original MacKenzie design has stood the test of time. Golfers will need a range of shots and club selections to navigate yourself around the course.
There is an indoor simulator available for prior booking to warm up before your round, or use the outdoor nets before testing yourself on the practice green.

Great course, unfriendly staff
This is a wonderful course that's clearly very well maintained, it has great views and some of the best holes I've played in Yorkshire, the par 3 5th is particularly great.Beware if you want to take advantage of the 2 fore 1 golf vouchers here though, I called the club to check i could use them, and having been assured I could, I booked a tee time and purchased a voucher. On arrival I was told by the staff member in the club house that these vouchers were for the 'day rate' only and they couldn't be used for my booking, which was completely different to what I was told on the phone.
Overall a great course that I unfortunately won't be visiting again soon.

Cleckheaton Golf Club
First impressions were excellent. Ample car parking, very good facilities n friendly staff.Price was very good. We played 18 holes for 20 pound each. The golf Club has a large virtual screen that we will be taking advantage of in the near future. The Course itself has some very good holes and has a good mix of 3,4 n 5 pars. We played in awful conditions but still enjoyed the Course.

Great course, very reasonably priced and good food !
This course is a gem hidden alongside the M62, often overlooked and believe me you would not be disappointed if you played here ever. Great layout, some picturesque holes amongst some challenging par 4's and par 3's. Wind adds another dimension to some of the elevated tee offs and you need to be studying some of the holes to play them properly. Food always great, pro shop really friendly and helpful. It is also very reasonably priced for society packages. Go there, give it a try and I promise you it will have a place on your list of courses to revisit.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course.
Course was in fantastic condition tee to green, in fact some of the tee boxes were in better condition than some greens I've played elsewhere this year. The course was very busy but pace of play was ok,only 3 1/2hr round which is I think acceptable. I would definitely return.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic little course. Good chances to take on the greens on the par 4’s and some very picturesque holes with elevated tees. Greens phenomenal for the time of year considering the wet conditions.

Really enjoyable
It tipped it down mid-round, which always makes golf more challenging with wet grips etc. However, really liked the course and can't wait to play it again.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19)

Wow, welcome to my top ten favourite list !
Booked on GolfNow and paid ?15 and what a bargain, this course is fantastic. Great facilities, lovely clubhouse, friendly staff and good pro shop. The course layout is superb and a thinking man's course, which is what i like. Yes it was sunny and I had a worldy 74 (5 under my handicap) stroke round but that aside this course is stunning and that was early Feb. Imagine what it would be like in the summer ?? and to top it off, one of the nicest tuna melt and chips lunches at a course I have had and for a great price. We will be back in May 2020 with our society and I cannot wait ... so much so, I am looking to book again next week !Reviewer Rating

Nice course, worth playing
Played this course in a recent open event. Friendly welcome, event well organised, pre golf food good. Course generally in good condition but had a few bare lies around the green where grass bit patchy. Disappointed with the greens though, they look and roll well but very slow, needed a cutting in my opinion, lot better than this in previous visits.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: 5.6)

First time for everything
Probably the best par 3's and greens in Yorkshire however everything else not so pretty. The rough is exactly that and even areas around the greens were overgrown. It played a lot like lupset golf course in it looked neglected in several areas which probably made it more of a challenge, the 10th was a temporary green which was put in not the best area and certainly the worst green. Was it worth £25 a knock probably not but again it has the best par 3's I've seen around here.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 20.5)

Fantastic course
Played in an open event which was very well organised. Friendly welcome in clubhouse, good food. Starter on first hole who was very informative. Course quite dry and bare in places (but where isn't at the moment). Green in good nick. Quite and up and down course to walk but fairly short. Some great holes like signature 5th from elevated tee over a brook to smallish green. Well worth a round if in the area for sure.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 78 Handicap: 5.2)
