Highly Recommended 2018
What the club says: The course was designed by the famous golf architect Dr Alistair McKenzie. It’s interesting that apart from lengthening the course to 6,077 yards, which brings the par and standard scratch to 70/70, his original design has certainly stood the test of time.

Another good course

friendly welcoming staff in clubhouse
the course played superbly with some tough greens
(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 103 Handicap: 25.7)

Nice course, worth playing
Played this course in a recent open event. Friendly welcome, event well organised, pre golf food good. Course generally in good condition but had a few bare lies around the green where grass bit patchy. Disappointed with the greens though, they look and roll well but very slow, needed a cutting in my opinion, lot better than this in previous visits.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: 5.6)

price was right
course in very good conditiongood clear directions around the course
good setting even though near the motorway which is great for access
(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 89 Handicap: 19)

First time for everything
Probably the best par 3's and greens in Yorkshire however everything else not so pretty. The rough is exactly that and even areas around the greens were overgrown. It played a lot like lupset golf course in it looked neglected in several areas which probably made it more of a challenge, the 10th was a temporary green which was put in not the best area and certainly the worst green. Was it worth £25 a knock probably not but again it has the best par 3's I've seen around here.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 20.5)

Fantastic course
Played in an open event which was very well organised. Friendly welcome in clubhouse, good food. Starter on first hole who was very informative. Course quite dry and bare in places (but where isn't at the moment). Green in good nick. Quite and up and down course to walk but fairly short. Some great holes like signature 5th from elevated tee over a brook to smallish green. Well worth a round if in the area for sure.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 78 Handicap: 5.2)

Great course
Fantastic course .....we played early april and despite previous rain the course was in excellent shape and condition. We have played in the summer here and it is by far one of if not the best course in the kirklees/bradford area
(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 19)

What a gem of a course
First time playing this course and very impressed. Nice club house, pro shop, practice facilities. Course in excellent condition given recent wet weather, full course except for one hole (10th). Fairway mats in use. Greens in superb condition for time of year, true and fairly quick. Not the longest course around but tricky in parts. A little up and down walking wise. Well worth a visit for sure, you won't be disappointed.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 75 Handicap: 5.9)

Fairways are like greens....some tough holes but a great course
(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 26.3)
