Challenging but very enjoyable
Course in fantastic condition after rain the day before. Plenty of challenges and strategically placed bunkers. Lots of water hazards but if you can keep straight you should score well. Would definitely play here againReviewer Rating

Championship course
My first time playing this course and I was looking forward it.Staff were friendly when I arrived and it the weather was great.
Most of the tee boxes were very patchy and covered in sand, one of the tee boxes was covered in geese bum droppings and was also wet and very soft.
It looked like the greens had been spiked and rolled that morning but not well enough because there was patches on all greens where they hadn’t rolled over the spike holes properly.
There wasn’t any ball cleaners at all throughout the course and where both courses meet each other I asked another player and there wasn’t any on the pine valley course either.
Speed of play was good until a member decided to start on the 12th hole and teed off while I was still on the way to my ball on the fairway, I did wait until he got to his ball and had a few words with him with which he replied I can do whatever I want because I’m a member here and my wife is too.
I couldn’t be bothered so I let them play through.
The course was in decent condition apart from the few things I’ve mentioned but I wouldn’t go back and play again until these things are sorted and members have respect for all players as this is public course not just for members, I was actually looking the night before at signing up there to be a member but after that very avoidable situation there isn’t a chance.

Peaceful setting worth visiting
Easy to find with plenty of parkingNice club house and pro shop with pleasant helpful staff, outside terrace to have a drink before or after your round
Course was in good condition with all the bad weather we've had, greens a little fluffy but given the previous comment that would be expected.
Great course for plotting your way around with plenty of traps both sand and water

Great beginners course
Well maintained course even in the early Spring. There are features that make the course interesting but they can be bypassed quite easily and even if you are unfortunate to hit any of them, they are relatively easy to recover fromReviewer Rating

Great in November 2022
Not many courses can deliver decent golf in autumn, wet weather but WVGC did that for us yesterday. Tee off was from good quality mats - the kind you can actually get a tee into - and the greens and approaches were really well protected with roping. Greens were very bobbly after hallow tining but for ?20 on this lovely course, we tolerated that. Pace of play was good and a group of members let us through on the third hole which was very much appreciated. Reminds me of how good this course must be in summer if it can be that good in winter!Reviewer Rating
