What the club says: Brookmans Park Golf Club is a woodland 18 hole course of 6,473 yards, par 71. Out of bounds is a distinctive feature of all the holes from the 3rd around to the 9th. The 3rd has magnificent views from the back tees over a gentle valley and the spire of St Albans cathedral visible on a clear summer evening. Par on the 18th is an excellent way to complete a round of golf on one of Hertfordshire’s finest courses.

Challenge but great courseI have not played Brookmans Park for a few years as I know it is a tough course for an 18 handicap golfer . Played it on a society meet this Summer . It is a great golf course and a real challenge to play to handicap around it . It is possible because I had a mediocre front 9 which I think is the easier 9 and played the back 9 to handicap . Served us great scampi chips and mushy peas after golf plus had the halfway house open for us . Will go back again as I am sure I can play the front 9 better and get close to playing to my handicap,

Lovely courseI played for the first time at Brookmans Park with a golf society in March 2019. The course is a very nice parkland course with lots of interesting holes. The weather had been rather wet in the weeks leading up to the event and the course was showing signs of distress on the fairways. The greens, however, were excellent. The staff in the clubhouse were very good and we enjoyed the breakfast and meal after the round.

Considering the time of the year the course was in good condition and played well.

due weather day, nice course, ground very hard due to lack of rain and green difficult to stop on, same problem. Staff very helpful.

Greens bumpy, GUR everywhere, and large areas of ground that wasn't GUR but should have been! Rough around some greens was basically a mud bath.

The course was in good nick, but the greens were a bit furry, which I guess is expected in late December - overall, a very nice course and we are coming back in March.
