Greens bumpy, GUR everywhere, and large areas of ground that wasn't GUR but should have been! Rough around some greens was basically a mud bath.

Considering the time of the year the course was in good condition and played well.

The tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in a very good condition.
Some really nice holes to play.
A couple of the holes run along the back of some houses, so it looks a bit like Wentworth!
I was told that it can be a bit snooty but I didn't have any problems.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area

Good course
Course is long but pretty open. Some flooding and waterlogged bunkers too.Greens had recently been aerated so were fairly spikey and difficult to read.

Temporarily great value
Temporarily great value (40% of normal visitor price) due to the work on the greens where 6-7 have sanded strips. Other greens good and large and fairly tricky all with movement. Course generally in good condition if a little dry in places. Reasonably interesting parkland course with some water. Very friendly staff and members. A little slow pace for weekday.Reviewer Rating

Smart and enjoyable
I love playing courses in Hertfordshire, and Brookmans Park is another superb example. Lovely clubhouse, plenty of good practice facilities and a course that provides a great challenge, quite a number of long par 4’s to contend with. Greens and fairways were excellent, absolutely no complaints!Reviewer Rating

Challenge but great course
I have not played Brookmans Park for a few years as I know it is a tough course for an 18 handicap golfer . Played it on a society meet this Summer . It is a great golf course and a real challenge to play to handicap around it . It is possible because I had a mediocre front 9 which I think is the easier 9 and played the back 9 to handicap . Served us great scampi chips and mushy peas after golf plus had the halfway house open for us . Will go back again as I am sure I can play the front 9 better and get close to playing to my handicap,Reviewer Rating

Lovely course
I played for the first time at Brookmans Park with a golf society in March 2019. The course is a very nice parkland course with lots of interesting holes. The weather had been rather wet in the weeks leading up to the event and the course was showing signs of distress on the fairways. The greens, however, were excellent. The staff in the clubhouse were very good and we enjoyed the breakfast and meal after the round.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 111 Handicap: 29.9)
