Poor course management
Tee times mean nothing. You arrive for your booked game and thete is 16 people befote you on the tee because they do t turn walk-ons away. Course gets badly congested and very slow (not helped by peopke sneakung on through every gap in the fence. Frustrations boil over. I got hit straight in the back of the head with a driven ball from 200 yds cause the charming guy behind me wasnt happy that i had to wait ages for the beginners in front of me to clear the green. Hit a good drive and lose your ball as fairways are kept long and are full of daisies. Bunkers are unplayable. Most good reviews about the place are surrounding the cafe, the kids play area and from dog walkers and people who are just out for a nice stroll (across the fairways). I'm a member by the way (but not for much longer) its relatively cheap but the money made from the golf does not go into improving the course.Reviewer Rating

There are two down sides to the course though. Firstly they seem to book too many people on. It is always so busy. Yesterday on one hole there were three two balls playing. We were on the tee and two other pairs were on the fairway with a fourth group only just left the green. We had to wait between 10-15 minutes on every tee.
Secondly they have people constantly sneaking on without paying. It happens every time I play there, and this adds to the overcrowding on the course, and speed of play is dramatically reduced. The time it takes to get round, I think I?d rather pay a bit more and travel a bit further. It's a shame as It's local and not too expensive.
