What the club says: Blairmore and Strone Golf Club was opened in 1896. A Braid designed course set above the Clyde with breathtaking views of Loch Long, Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde. The course is a mixture of hilly and some flatter parkland which presents quite a challenge despite it's relatively short length of 2112 yards over 9 holes.

A lovely 9-hole course overlooking the firth of Clyde. Much more challenging than the short yardage would suggest; some small par-3 greens demand very accurate iron play and greens are generally quite undulating. Drivable par-4s add a lot of fun, especially 7th and 9th. Course is generally in good nick in high season and is great value. Just don't get too distracted by the sensational views! Clubhouse usually closed midweek I think; pay via honesty box and course is often very quiet when I have played it.

A nine hole course.Hilly for the first 4 holes. Then levels off for four holes. Leaving a downhill par four to finish.Good chance of driving the green. Honesty box in operation.had the course to myself a few times during the week i was there.and locals invited me to join them a couple of times.Fantastic views and friendly people.Good value for your money.
