I have played Blackmoor on average once a year and it gets better each time. This gem is for the senior golfer, 6,170 yards in length off the whites, flat and in fantastic condition! Rarely, at the end of the day, can you reflect and not find fault big or small of a golf course but here we could not! A fantastic afternoon!

Very frosty and cold morning following heavy rain this week, course was a beauty.Sun came out and eventually offered a little warmth and cleared the fairways and greens

Very nice course
Course in great conditions and greens were excellent. Tee shots need to avoid the heather and bunkers otherwise par will be very difficult to make.Reviewer Rating

Excellent woodland course layout and superb greens. Club has invested in the fairways and bunkers and added a beautiful patio viewing area attached to the bar on first floor where you can have a drink overlooking the 1st and 18th holes

Hidden gem just off the A3
Very good shortish course - less than 6000yds.Fab greens and fab clubhouse with great golfer-suited food.

This is an excellent course with a beautiful countryside setting. The greens are always in great condition and the design of the course is difficult but fair. The pro shop and bar staff are friendly and helpful.

Superb
Playable all year round. Best ( IMHO) through Sept when the Heather is in full bloom. Dont be fooled by the yardage - this is a challenge. My 3 mates of +1, 1 and 2 didnt beak 80 ( par 69) on there first visit. Great heathland track with pretty views. Well stocked bar and great sausage rolls in the HWH.Reviewer Rating

Absolute Gem
I love a Harry Colt course and this one doesn't disapoint. Greens are undulating and we had some bery tricky pin positions. Course recovered well from the previous day of torrential rain with only a couple of areas holding water, but the course did play long.Reviewer Rating

great course
great course in fantastic condition.the par 3's are probably the hardest collection that i have played.
the greens are huge with lots of breaks

Beautiful Course
Beautiful course that silently winds it's way around in the middle of nowhere. Heather defends the fairways so you must play straight. Everyone I played with had penalty strokes by being a little optimistic. I especially liked the five par 3s. Great to look at from the tee, challenging and satisfying. I played via a society day which made it better value. ?80 a round in the summer will be a barrier to many.Reviewer Rating

Always fantastic! If you haven't played here then you are in for a real treat. Definitely recommend their breakfast, 18 holes then followed by an ice cold beer on their new terrace overlooking the 18th green. One definitely not to be missed.

First time round here on a society day. Very well looked after by the club. Lovely course in good condition bar the odd bare lie on the fairways where they're still recovering from last years dry summer. Otherwise in good nick and the greens were very good, though tricky to putt on due to subtle borrows and slopes. Well worth playing and look forward to going back.

Superb
This is old school golf: not very long but very well defended. Heather lined fairways, tight dog legs and greens like glass with almost impossible to detect borrows. Having said all that, it's by no means impossible, even for high handicappers; there are no ridiculous (for most of us) carries over heather and there always seems to be bail out option that might cost you one shot whilst saving you three!The staff and members all seem very friendly with none of the reserve that's sometimes encountered at a club like this. OK, it's expensive but, it's pretty special.

Little gem and testing
