What the club says: Athy Golf Club was formed in 1906 as a nine hole course and was extended to 18 holes in 1993. The Par is now 72 and it is almost 6,500 yards off the Blues.
The last 5 holes in Athy are now even more demanding and the 16th and 17th holes are considered by many to be among the most difficult consecutive par 4's you will find anywhere. Even the 18th is now a more testing finishing hole because if you avoid the Bunkers off the Tee you are still faced with more bunkers for your 2nd and 3rd shots.

Lovely parkland course that is very well maintained. Forgiving fairways with fast rolling greens. A very enjoyable round with a lovely clubhouse and pro shop.

Enjoyable test..Greens were a little bumpy when we played them and 1/2 have too much slope on them for the size but some good risk/reward holes with options off the tee..
