I friend lives nearby and we played when we visited. Lovely course with great views. Fairways in great condition and most of the bunkers have been renovated and are way better than the average golf course. The greens are slow, but very true. Geraint the club secretary was very helpful - we hired a buggy but not essential. Good variety of holes - not too tough which suited my friend who docent play often.

I have been a regular visitor from the Midlands over the last 30 years.
A real hidden gem.
Superb course which has been sensitively improved over the last 10 years or so and it has never been in such good condition.

Spectacular course. Improved significantly over the last few years with nearly all the bunkers replaced.
Totally unspoilt and very well maintained.
In my opinion, the 4th is the signature hole but many other really strong holes.

hilly course with a long and unfair first cut

A hill top course over looking Aberystwyth.
I walked but I would recommend a buggy
We had been warned that as there were few hazards on the course the grass either side of the fairways had been left to grow a little longer that usual. As the fairways were more what I would call first cut, this meant that it was just long enough to cover and hid your ball. So instead of just making your shot a little harder I had to declare lost ball on several occasions despite being a fairly decent shot. Not what I would consider a fair outcome. This problem was also compounded by having several blind holes on slopes. You hit a straight shot that goes out of sight and then I can only guess hits the fairway but bounces/rolls down the slope into the longer grass never to be seen again.
I mentioned that the grass on the fairways were longer than expected this meant that despite the dry weather there was very little run on the ball. very often stopping after one bounce.
There were a lot of crows pecking at and digging up several areas of the fairways.
Greens were in an okay condition.
Green fees were ?35 but thankfully my membership of Play More Golf meant it only cost ?10.50.
I would only expect to pay ?20 for this course
