Interesting course for high handicappers
The course has some dangerous holes on each of the nines, but at the same time offers some respite on others. A fair test all round.Reviewer Rating

Disappointed
We booked this venue based on price and the write up of the course. The hotel facilities including pool, sauna, jacuzzi, games room and bar were all very good. The hotel room was also very good. The food (Dinner & Breakfast) were also very good. The disappointing bit was the golf. The course has a couple of feature holes playing over water, which always makes for a bit of enjoyment, but the remainder of the course was a bit lacking. I'm by no means a snobby golfer, but the standard of golfers over the weekend in their ability, etiquette and dress codes was awful. Golfers were dressed in tracksuits and hoodies, were shouting to each other throughout the holes and seemed to take an age.A 3hr round on the Saturday was followed by a 4.25hrs round on Sunday. The Golf shop wasn't open either day, so you could tip up and play whenever you wanted.
Overall facilities at the hotel and staff were good, so whilst the price was good the golf wasn't, so would not return.

Everything was great except the course
Everything was great except the course, poor condition and very poorly managed. Wet and unplayable really. Quirky course with potential but needs looking after. Extremely disappointed with visit, enough to say will never visit again or recommend. An absolute shame because the hotel, dining and rooms were top notch. The golf was a complete let down.Reviewer Rating

Not great
I kept hitting the ball in the water. Not water hazards - the fairway. The whole course was completely waterlogged even though it had not rained that much. Goodness knows what it's like when it's really wet. On the greens my first putt frequently found the hole - but sadly not the one with the flag in. Some greens are OK, but some are pitted with holes and bare patches. The signage is very poor and it's hard to know where you're going. The 9th hole is somewhat unique but also very dangerous - as are other holes ("beware tennis courts to left of hole"). Look, it only cost me £15 so I can't complain - but you could do much better.Reviewer Rating
