Jon Rahm is one of the most recognised professional golfers in the world, having earned his impressive reputation through grinding to the very top. The Spaniard is one of Europe’s hottest talents – and has been for a while – having scooped his second major championship during 2023.

Rahm’s 2023 Season
It only took the 29-year-old eight days to win his first tournament of the calendar year, narrowly beating Collin Morikawa to the Sentry Tournament of Champions trophy.
Only two weeks had passed before Rahm doubled his trophy tally for the campaign, winning The American Express for a second time in his career.
The Genesis Invitational has always been a special tournament on the PGA Tour and it’s one that all players look to add to their resume. Duston Johnson, Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Ben Hogan and Ernie Els are past champions of this esteemed event (although under multiple titles).
Extraordinarily, Riviera – which is where The Genesis Invitational takes place – is the location for Tiger Woods’ longest winless streak!
Rahm was crowned champion by a two-stroke margin, effectively preventing Max Homa from winning the tournament twice in three years. As we all know, the magnitude of a golfer is judged on major championship victories, and Rahm won his first at the U.S. Open in 2021.
As he surged through the world rankings, many believed that Rahm would continuously chip away and earn major after major. However, professional golf had other ideas and as Rahm arrived at Augusta in April 2023, he was on the cusp of two years without adding to his major tally.
The state of Georgia has been kind to Rahm; of the seven appearances made at Augusta, he has placed within the top ten on five occasions!
As Sunday steadily approached, the green jacket looked set to be heading to a new direction, with Rahm and Brooks Koepka battling intensely. Ultimately, the Spaniard had enough in the tank to dismantle Koepka’s Masters dream and won by a rather convincingly four-stroke margin in the end.
As a consequence of that stylish victory, Rahm returned to world number one but success would evade him until the month of September.
The Ryder Cup is a special competition that is built on tribalism, an ‘us v them’ mentality that grips golf fans from both sides of The Atlantic.
Europe were out for revenge following their pummelling that took place at Whistling Straits in 2021, which reduced Rory McIlroy to tears and culminated an epic journey for veterans such as Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter.
Rahm went undefeated at Rome, winning two and tying two others, which helped Europe inflict a heavy defeat on their American counterparts.
