TaylorMade Spider X Putter Review

By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 18 Apr 2019

Spider X is the tenth generation of TaylorMade's hugely popular family of mallet putters, which feature a newly designed frame and dedicated weighting system, in addition to an optically engineered sightline that boasts the True Path alignment. More streamlined than both the Spider Tour and Spider Mini, the X provides greater stability.

Designed for improved path, clearer vision and enhanced visual perception through colour sensitivity as well as a new, thicker 5mm Pure Roll white surlyn insert for improved sound, feel and roll characteristics, the Spider X is certain to be a favourite, with tour players like Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Jason Day already taking advantage of the technology.

PGA Professional & Golfshake Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall had the opportunity to test and review the Spider X at Howley Hall Golf Club, talking you through the innovation, performance, look and feel of the model, providing an insight behind the putter and what you could expect from adding it to your bag for this season.
