Tech Specs
Duca’s Camelot shoes offer a great mix of traditional golf shoe ideas and modern golf shoe ideas. The patterned toe design creates a very authentic look and is formed of waterproof leather meaning the shoe is capable of keeping you dry in the wetter months. The model features Duca’s Airplay VI outsole which is their latest spikeless design. The sole is designed with many 5mm nubs to create a solid grip between the shoe and ground, whist also feeling lightweight and comfortable.
Looks
The shoes look modern and trendy, meaning that they look good on the course and when worn casually away from it. There is also the nice inclusion of some traditional looking features such as the brogue looking design on the toe.
Feel
The comfort of the shoes match their good looks. The spikeless sole provides plenty of cushioning when walking and playing shots. The leather upper feels tough enough on the outside to survive through all weather conditions, yet manages to feel soft on the foot.
Performance
Despite being waterproof and clearly tough enough to withstandthe weather, I didn't feel the sole and grips are built for wet winter conditions. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to wear them on a dry course or at the driving range. In terms of off the course, they haven't been off-feet! As I have mentioned, they look great when worn casually.
Pros
The aesthetics of the shoes are definitely a big plus, they look brilliant and really modern. The fact that the shoes are very comfortable is also a big plus.
Cons
As we were testing the shoes as ‘winter shoes’, I didn’t feel that the grip was good enough to be used in wet conditions. The sole just doesn’t provide enough traction when playing shots.
The Bottom Line
The Duca Del Cosma Camelot shoes would make ideal summer golf shoes and are great casual shoes, suitable for all 365 days of the year. However, due to the lack of grip provided by the spikeless soles, they are not the best option for winter golf.
