PowaKaddy DRI EDITION Cart Bag Review

REVIEW: PowaKaddy DRI EDITION Cart Bag

Review by Golfshake Ambassador Kevin Paver

PowaKaddy DRI EDITION Cart Bag Review

PowaKaddy have launched a ‘new for 2018’ Dri Edition cart bag range that boasts a serious and very relevant claim… especially if you live in the UK.

This bag delivers ‘four-times the waterproof performance of all standard models on the market’.

Weighing in at just 2kg, the high-performance Dri-Edition bag incorporates a hydrostatic-rated fabric (basically, a test used to measure how waterproof something is) of over 10,000mm, which according to PowaKaddy is four times the performance of most waterproof bags found on the market. Impressive stuff!

PowaKaddy also use a super-lightweight nylon fabric, as well as swanky seam-sealing methods and it comes in five colour options. .

Looks

I love the look of this bag. I tested the black / yellow colour combination, which matched very nicely with my trolley. It’s a very ‘sleek’ looking bag. Sometimes I find cart bags can look a little bulky and cumbersome, but not with this one.

Feel

The Dri-Edition bag was super good to use. I love the ‘key lock system’ on the base (that comes with all Powakaddy cart bags), a fantastic feature to ensure your bag is nice and secure. Also, the 14 individual dividers mean that all your clubs stay nice and organised… no club clanking here!

Performance

The PowaKaddy Dri Edition cart bag works a treat… especially if you’re a golfer in the UK with our somewhat temperamental weather! I’ve tested this across a couple of rounds… once in damp conditions and once in a full on downpour. It definitely delivers on the protection against the elements. EVERYTHING in the bag stayed dry throughout.

Whilst playing, it’s super easy to find the club you need with the 14 individual club dividers, and an umbrella loop that fits and actually holds your umbrella in the place it’s supposed to!

It comes with a mighty 7 storage pockets for all your belongings during the round, including two pretty big ones on either side, giving you plenty of room for any extra clothing as well as a valuables pocket and a drinks cooler.

The other really nice bit of attention to detail, is the covered zip holders. Once you’ve zipped up the pocket, you just tuck your zip into the holder, meaning no rain can sneak in!

Pros

Excellent quality and design using some very innovative fabrics. Not bulky or heavy with lots of storage for everything you need during a round.

Cons

Well, there isn’t much to be negative about with this cart bag… However, the price point may put some people off.

Bottom Line

This is a bag I would definitely use. It has everything you need from a cart bag… but for me, most importantly it keeps everything dry meaning you can just focus on playing golf. This bag retails around £199.00, and for me, I think it’s worth every penny.
