By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 18 Mar 2021

In this short video PGA Master Professional and former Ryder Cup player Peter Dawson talks through the fundamentals of playing the ball from bunkers with Golfshake ambassador Andrew Picken.  Peter talks through the basic and key principles to get up and down more often.

The 4 key tips being:

  • Weighting positioned more on the front foot
  • Ensure the club face is open
  • Ensure your alignment is open to the target
  • Follow through in the swing and don't decelerate

This series of playing lesson videos were filmed in October 2020 at the Springs Golf Club in Oxfordshire. Alongside Peter is Golfshake ambassador Andy Picken.

Peter Dawson represented Great Britain & Ireland in the 1977 Ryder Cup and wrote the Now for The Back Nine book, which is designed to benefit the senior golfer.
