Charley Hull Bridgestone Skills Challenge

By: Joshua Carr | Mon 25 Sep 2017 | Comments ()

Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour star Charley Hull offered Golfshake’s Josh Carr some tips in two Bridgestone skills challenges during the second day of the Challenge Tour’s Bridgestone Challenge at Luton Hoo Golf Club.

Britain’s number one golfer gave advice on how to get the ball in the air quickly, and how to keep the ball low when trying to play a punch shot - but there was a twist.

The first challenge saw eight premium Bridgestone tyres stacked, with the pair having to land the ball inside the tyres. The second saw a Bridgestone tyre placed 20-yards away, with the duo having to hit the ball through and break the tracing paper.

As well as offering a few tips, Hull was also happy to see professional golf in the UK. Hull said: “I think it’s really good (to have this event in the UK).

“The UK needs way more events as well, especially for the ladies game. Golf is well supported in England and when they have tournaments on there’s always crowds.”

Take a look at how our Golfshake writer got on against the world number 28 and comment below.
