Not many better

Super course, great condition, super facility, & super staff, which cater to your needs. They p/u your clubs @ your car, have your buggy labeled with your tee time, & the bar is super. The prices were very acceptable. Don't miss this one; you'll be talking about it for weeks.

Ombria

Lovely golf course with some great holes and significant elevation changes. Buggies mandatory.
Greens in great condition but some fairways recovering from recent flooding.
Nice clubhouse but unfortunately no range to warm up.

Ombria. Awarded Best New Course in Europe 2024

Voted Europes best new golf course in 2024 by the World Golf Awards against strong opposition. Carved out of the mountain side with a fantastic hotel on site. Compulsory buggy use due to the mount of elevation changes. It really does feel like a golfing roller coaster. I loved it! Very enjoyable venue to play several times during my stay. 40 other golf courses nearby but stayed on site. Highly regarded environmental practices add value to the package including GEO Certification that is regularly independently assessed and reviewed. The closing hole is a little quirky needing some serious thought and execution as the green site does not finish by the clubhouse. Make sure you check out the deserted landing area before playing as there are a range of teeing options. Interesting to see the range of previous reviews. I genuinely loved it and would return tomorrow given the chance.

Ombria

Not for the faint hearted!
High handicappers should avoid. For the more established golfer, a great course and some challenging holes.

Disney golf

If you want to play a course that was designed by Mickey Mouse and built by Donald Duck, then get your crampons on and grab an oxygen mask! Should have been left as goat country…….a waste of time! One to avoid

One of the most enjoyable courses I have ever played

I had heard good things about Ombria from a member of my club but I was blown away by the course; we've been playing golf in the Algarve and Costa del Sol for over 10 years and this is probably the best course we've played. Our groups was a mix of handicaps (2 up to 27) but we all played from the back "58" tees and everyone coped with the forced carries.
The front nine is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride of golf, starting with back to back par 5s where you have to cross water hazards twice (the 2nd is particularly exacting), followed by a 50 foot drop to the 3rd fairway. Two par 3 holes follow (one with another 50 foot drop from the tee) then another par 5, a par 3 and then two tough par 4 holes at 8 and 9. Hole 9 is a beast. The back nine has a lot less water but the elevation changes and carful tree placement continue the excitement but it is more forgiving and more scoreable than the front nine. Condition was near perfect from tee, through fairway and onto the greens. It is not a cheap round of golf and there are no practice facilities other than a putting green but it is simply a must play golf course in the area. One criticism off the course is the cost of the food in the clubhouse. It is not cheap and we were disappointed to find the bar closed when we finished playing at 6.50pm. But that should not detract from an amazing golf course.

Great fun!

What an interesting and enjoyable course Ombria is! The first hole offers an elevated tee on a Par 5 with spectacular views and an inviting driving hole to start your round. The rest of the 9 is woven in to the spectacular valley with some truly magnificent golf holes. The back 9 is more open, and really gives you a different experience, green and inviting, but be careful it still has a bite!
I really enjoyable course, although the only downside was the greens had had a lot of traffic and were a little scared as a result.

Really good new course. Very challenging off the back tees. Any off target tee shots are punished. Greens are fast and true.
