Beautiful setting in Stapelford Park
Set in a beautiful country estate, Stapelford Park is a challenging course with well protected greens, ponds, streams and ditches strategically placed. Accuracy off the tee is paramount as the rough can be quite punishing. Set in large grounds the course undulates and is open to wind from most tees. There are long distances between some tees which can slow play. The manor house accommodation is luxurious with fine dining a speciality.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 104 Handicap: 25.9)

Great Course
Lovely course, played here a few times now and it's always been in good condition. Low scoring requires long accurate tee shots for the most, and although the rough is quite forgiving, there are a number of 400 yard plus par 4's which heavily favour those who hit 250+ off the tee to have a chance of a decent score (not me). I carded 3 over my handicap, so wasn't all bad and the greens can be a challenge if you put the ball on the wrong part of the green. Beautiful course,lovely views. Massive greens,none of which are flat,very well kept.Bunkers also massive and very deep.Well worth a visit.

Hidden Jem but tough
A high class course that you think you have to yourself. The standard is amazing but it can be tough in the summer months as the rough is long and balls go missing even when you think you should find them!(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 89 Handicap: )

Prettiest course I've played
Played today.. what a course... simple on some holes.... but very challenging for most of the course... greenspeople out and about sorting the course which is good to see... love the course..greens bang on.. fairways bang on... and the society guys bang on...good food but bacon could of been a bit more crispy(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 19.6)

Superb Course
The course is in stunning condition with challenging greens. It was very quiet so we had a bit of leisure time between shots to take in the wonderful scenery.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 106 Handicap: 26.6)

An excellent course
Our society played the course twice late last year and thought it a real find. Nice comfortable club house, good practice facilities and the course is an excellent test of golf for all standards, the greens are large and really run true.With the recent bad weather our intended venue was forced to close as were many. We managed to get in at Stapleford and although very wet underfoot in certain areas the course played well.
Must compliment the golf receptionist person, He was exceptional in his approach and overall helpfulness.
We paid £25 green fees which is great value for this course and we will definitely return.

Nice course but nothing too spectacular or overly memorable. In good condition after a very wet period and greens running nicely. Rough is punishing beyond the first cut and out of bounds is a really threat on many holes. Course is long but not too tough on the legs as it's not too hilly.

Stapleford park
First time at this course. The course was excellent with very tight fairways, that encouraged you to be careful when driving. The very deep bunker made them a challenge. We will definitely be making a return when we can.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 106 Handicap: 20.4)

Round played in a mix of winter sun, sleet and blizzard snow, yet course was in excellent condition. A great test of your game, OB in play on the majority of holes, lovely looking but cleverly placed bunkers protected a number of fairways and most greens. If your approaches were accurate enough to hit the greens you could easily be in 3 putt territory as some of the greens were huge with some tricky undulations. Great place to play before retiring to the thatched roof clubhouse!

despite the sleeting blizzard which hit in the middle of the round, really enjoyed the course. pretty open but relatively long (especially in Feb!), so you still need to hit decent shots to avoid the hazards, with OB features on a number of holes.
