What the club says: The Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State with its Research and Training Facility and Clubhouse covers approximately 200 acres and is positioned on the southernmost portion of Centennial Campus, easily accessible from Interstate 40. These facilities support the academic and athletic needs of the university, and also benefit the community by providing a beautiful public golf course and creating an environmentally-friendly neighbour for the area.

Tough but fair test of golf. You need to select the correct tee for your skill level or you can get in over your head. The fairways are generous but you must pay attention to the slope. This course will only get better as it matures.
