What the club says: Designed by Matkovich and Hayes Golf Course Architects. This golf course has seven holes on water and has been built to US PGA specifications with a 6372 metre par 72-rating — from back tees 74.
The Ebotse Golf & Country Estate course has been referred to as Peter Matkovich's 'little secret' as know one really knows what a spectacular course he has created. Since day one Peter Matkovich has said, "Ebotse is a wonderful opportunity to create an environmentally sensitive and balanced golf course, combining links, lakeside and parkland."
If passion was at the centre of the success of a golf course then Ebotse Golf & Country Estate would win hands down. Crafted by developers with a personal vision and uniquely designed and constructed by Matkovich & Hayes, the Ebotse course will burst with pride end 2007, when all the hard work delivers not only a view, but an experience of a life time.

Briliant Links-style course
Ebotse Links is very much worth a visit while in Johannesburg. Reasonably priced to play, especially mid-week, and in excellent condition. The links-style course provides a great challenge, with many undulations and great views across many holes. Highly recommended!Reviewer Rating

Awesome course, long and tough. Very thick rough with plenty of snakes so best avoided. Greens are lovely.
