What the club says: The course is relatively flat parkland and both professionals and top-class amateurs find it a fair test of their ability, particularly on some of the longer Par 4's. Most holes are tree-lined with oak, birch and pine. The Garnkirk Burn also winds its way through the middle part of the course, making the 6th and 7th holes testing depending on which way the wind is blowing. On a sunny day there are magnificent views of the Campsie Hills, with Ben Lomond in the background.

Big Improvement since last played

Have played here a good few times now and always found it quite boggy. But seems to have improved as the course played well especially considering how much rain we have had recently. Also added a new driving range which if I had knew about would probably have made time for before teeing off.

Good course layout, however, if you don't like getting wet feet, and playing from poor/bare lies, then this isn't the place for you to visit.

PS, still scratching my head on what the 'Driving' Range is supposed to be, looks like it's been designed and built in a fortnight.

Huge improvement

The course went through some hard times a few years back, However since the new greenkeeper stepped in it has went from strength to strength, Massive drainage works along with a load of reshaping has the course looking great. The greens are currently in super condition and have been since early may.

Good course, pretty straightforward in the main but a bit of thinking to do on some holes. Was in good condition. Speed of play pretty quick. Enjoyed it

A nice course although drainage could be better. You could shoot a low score.

A good course with the chance of shooting a really low score. The drainage could be better as it some places hold water throughout the course.
