What the club says: Denver Golf Club is home to a beautiful 18-hole golf course - the Oaks course - par 27 - with views of Denver Windmill, set in mature landscaped grounds within a county wildlife site. The Hawthorns course - par 35 - has par-3, 4 and 5 holes to challenge your long game.

A very rural course, can be challenging, but for the wrong reasons - waterlogged fairways, poorly maintained greens, but on the plus side a very affordable 9 hole round of golf, under ?20 green fee. Also has a good driving range and a challenging Par 3 course too.

Pros
I recently played this course and throughly enjoyed it the weather was good for the time of year but there were loads of leaves for which there is nothing you can do about that. The employees where very friendly and helpful in a nut shell a very warm and friendly atmosphere, can not wait to play there again.
Cons
The course is obviously a work in progress, some of the tee markers are broken or missing, but more understandingly there are course repairs under way .
I can not wait for the improvement to the 1st tee by lengthening it to behind the trees.

This course is still very young, and needs some time to 'bed' in, But is a very friendly and welcoming, and improvements seem to be happening at a fast pace, I've only been going to the course for a couple of months and have noticed vast improvements in that short time. This is an ideal course for beginners and offers good value for money, with a very approachable and unintimidating course pro on hand for a quick lesson.

The worst course i have ever played on. Fairways full of flint stones, poor drainage and greens worse than my back garden. I was told i had to use a tee for every shot i played. Absolutely rubbish course. Nowhere near ready for use. My advice is go across the A10 to Rysten park.
