Simulator round
Challenging course. If you love bunkers, this course will put you in them. Deep, and very steep. Narrow tee shots, blind greens. What a course, but very challenging for a beginner like myself.Reviewer Rating

This course became my favourite in 2004, and I only wish I could go back and try it again now I am a better player.
There are huge sandy areas like Kiawah Island, which you can drive the buggy through, and a lot of blind tee shots where you need to follow the marker posts, and even then my group still managed to almost get lost on one of the par 5's when we couldn't figure out where to go with our second shots!
It features in a list of the 50 toughest courses in America, where it was placed 10th. If you ever go to the Pinehurst area; don't just look at the Pinehurst Resort courses - this one is an absolute gem. Look up their website - they have an impressive array of photographs of all the holes, and if that doesn't persuade you to try it, then ask around at the courses you play - you'll get the message that Tobacco Road is not to be missed.
