What The Club Says
Kiawah Island Golf Resort is home to five championship golf courses: The Ocean, Turtle Point, Osprey Point, Oak Point and Cougar Point, designed by Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Clyde Johnston and Gary Player, respectively. The Ocean's credentials are very impressive, having hosted the 2007 Senior PGA, the 1991 Ryder Cup, the 1997 and 2003 World Cups, the 2001 UBS Cup and the 2005 PGA Professional National Championship. In 2012 Kiawah Island Golf Resort will be staging the 94th PGA Championship; only the fourth course to host each of the PGA of America's major championships. This resort is located near the historic town of Charleston, so once you've experienced the unforgettable golf courses, you can experience the regional culture also.

An excellent course and on perfect condition.
No gps so need to play twice to get the most out of it or take a course book.

On the first tee your knees will be trembling. This course is intimidating. Probably because of the history and because you're thinking about all the great golfers that have trodden this path before you. But the caddies are fantastic. Showing you the way to go from tee or fairway (which you sometimes think is madness, but they're always right) and where your putt should be going (which again you'll doubt at times, but they were never wrong, they can't be held responsible for poor execution !) The holes are all magnificent, the views are nothing short of incredible. A day that I'll never forget. Thank God the wind was down that day.
