A nice enough course but needs a lot of work on it to get it up to any grade. All bunkers were out of play. ( I was informed they are waiting on sand ). A bit of work and it could well be a great course once a bit of time and money spent on it.

Fantastic layout and location .... however greens and fairways in poor condition , had no grass on the greens very brown and bumpy
Bunkers has weeds growing and plastic sheeting visible
Tee boxes very poor with uneven footing , no care seems to be taken ,

Inexpensive

Piperdam course is a good course with great scenery and some challenging holes.
It starts with a 120yd par 3 over a lake. I played with 3 local members and 2 of them put their first shot in the water. Its deceptive and has a roll off back into the lake if your short off the tee.
Some very sloping fairways towards the lake will catch out wayward shots. and well placed fairway bunkers are there to catch 'average' drives off the tees. This is part of a holiday complex with waterside chalets so expect the odd walker who hasn't read the signs. Not knowing the course, I shot 86 on my 11 handicap but was pleased overall with the round and the course. Staff were very friendly and helpful as were the local golfers with advice. The greens were a bit bear in places because of the dry weather I think but rolled well. This course and Downfield are the only courses close to Dundee city now as both municipal courses have closed. Expect Piperdam to be busy at weekends with societies and holidaymakers. Paid ?30 on Golf Now for the round. Definitely play again when next in the area.

A Lovely course but !!

A lovely course but needs lots of TLC to get it back to how I remember it last. The tee area's are acceptable but the greens are quite literally shocking. The owners need to spend some money on this otherwise it will go even more downhill than it is at the moment and that would be a real waste of great golfing ground.

My round around Piperdam 02/4/2025

Generally very good course to visit, layout is great, if you know where you are going. I am going to say that there were NO TEE MARKERS NO DIRECTIONAL SIGNS I lost my way and missed about 6 holes at least, it NEEDS MORE SIGNAGE, I will not play course again until it does.

Worth a round if you have never played this course.

A quirky opening par 3 to open and then some interesting holes. Lots of run from left to right and right to left on the front 9 holes. back 9 I think is better and much flatter. Overall a nice course and deffo worth playing it at least once if you can. A very acceptable Green fee almost .

Make sure this is on your List

A lovely course just outside Dundee. Lovely course with some dangerous holes if you are not careful. I would certainly recommend this if you are in the area.

First Visit and well impressed.

My brother invited me up to play this and I was glad I accepted. Nice little Par 3 to start over water. Some blind holes off the tee but lots of great holes overall. Highly recommend you give this a try if you have never played it.

Piperdam

A tale of 2 halves, best 9 holes of the season on the front 9, pretty grim for the next 9! Lovely layout in good condition, will definitely be back soon.
