Challenging and enjoyable.
The course was in good shape considering the amount of rain over the last few weeks. The layout is challenging and some of the pins were in spots that were difficult. Would have liked a bit more information on the yardages but overall this was a very enjoyable round. The staff were all welcoming and will play again when in the area.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 8.4)

Well worth a visit
We played the New course at Grand Cypress, which is based on the Old Course at St Andrews. Not an easy track if you've not played it before, as there are many unseen bunkers down the fairway. Greens very fast and true, with many undulations. Friendly clubhouse and a great brunch there.Reviewer Rating

Tribute to St Andrews Old Course
very interesting layout. A Jack Nicklaus design s a tribute to St Andrews.Lots of double greens, pot bunkers and stone work including bridges. Some fairways are very wide but cleverly positioned bunkers keep up the pressure throughout. Would definitely play again.(Round played: Mar 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 17.5)

North and East
Played the North and East nines, and found both to be in really great shape. The East probably has the nicer looking holes, but you're really not going to hate the North. All 18 holes are well manicured, with great tees, fairways and greens. You'll pay a little extra to play here, but you'll see where the money goes when you experience the course, clubhouse, practice facilities and staff.

South course is extremely difficult. East course is much better, more normal. Didn't play North course, though supposed to be like the east. Staff were quite arrogant!

I can tell you that you will be unlikely to play a course with wider fairways than the New Course. There are a lot of bunkers, some in view and a large number of pot bunkers, very undulating fairways, and there are some very severe slopes on the quick greens. There's a little bit of water too, which is mainly in play via a stream that runs in front of a few of the greens.
The course itself was in wonderful condition from tee to the green, and with superb practise facilities and clubhouse Grand Cypress ticks all the boxes and more.
Totally recommended!
