Going Downhill

This course is part of the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) courses. Its the worst of the bunch. All the bunkers have been GUR for months now due to grass growing in them. Looks like they may now start working on them, finally. Lots more work to be done to bring this u to the standard of Randolph Oaks at Randolph AFB

One of the 3 Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) courses and is the worst maintained. Pity as I joined this one but my membership grants me access to all 3. The other being Fort Sam Houston and Randolph AFB which are both in better condition. A lot of work needs to be done to this course and it looks like that has finally started BUT on the wrong things.

Great course

I actually joined this course in June. Pretty consistent on fairways and rough but the greens could always be a tad faster. Tend to screw your rounds up on other courses where the greens are more slick. This club is on Lackland AFB and I think a new CO who is interested in golf would make a difference to the greens as it probably sits below Randolph AFB and Fort Sam in terms of putting surfaces

This course is on Lackland AFB and is only accessible with current or retired US Military personnel. Its a nice open course but dont be deceived by the Bermuda grass. you need one, or even two, higher clubs. That damn stuff just grabs your club. Nice greens in pretty good condition considering how much it is used. Didnt do the course justice until the 12th. As you would expect on a military course, the beer is cheep as well as are the snacks etc....and because i was with ex-military personnel i thought i would pick up the fees............$40 for both of us including range balls and a buggy...you cant beat that
