What the club says: Darren Clarke has used the natural ebb and flow of the setting on the estates grounds here at Castle Dargan. The majestic trees, tracts of gnarled ground and rocky seams accompanied by the ancient stone walls remain.
The result is a quite beautiful golf course of daring beauty located in Sligo. He has embraced the land rather than trying to impose his design ideas upon it. Castle Dargan provides a calming but eerie presence on the horizon which adds to the soulful atmosphere of the resort that has everything you could ask for.
Steven Wood who joined from the K Club last year and his dedicated greens team are on the course before 6 every morning, cutting, rolling and nurturing the course through its development months.

A very new course but in excellent condition. Challenging in any weather. No actual clubhouse but the hotel is superb.

I was home in Sligo at the Weekend with a few friends and heard about this new Championship Parkland Golf Course. We caught the end of their Open Week and It has only been opened since March, but is fantastic. You could see that they had been doing draininge but 90% of it has grown over at this stage. The 4* hotel was lovely along with the food, i have travelled to many courses and this is by far a course that everyone should try. Beautiful scenery and a course suitable for all levels.

This is a new course and is still settling in but the setting is fantastic and the course is already playing extreemly well.
