What the club says: This picturesque course with panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the mountains offers a beautiful and rewarding round of golf. The well manicured track features numerous water hazards and uses strategically placed bunkers to protect the large greens. You need to be brave off the tee as there are a few challenging drives over water. The course is mainly flat and reaches its highest point on the eighth, leading up to the ninth which is a superb par 5 looking down to the Mediterranean. At 2001 Santa Clara Golf Marbella starts its' activity at the Costa del Sol. A 18 hole golf course, par 71 designed by Enrique Canales Busquets and placed only few minutes form the centre of Marbella, in front of Los Monteros Hotel Resort, just behind the Costa del Sol Hospital.

Absolutely not worth it
The most disappointing day due the marshal in the buggy trying to speed play.He was extremely aggressive and rude, probably the worst marshal I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
We played in a society and the marshal was un respectful to every group playing.
For the cost of this course it was in pretty poor condition all round with the greens being scabby
Extremely disappointed in a supposed good golf course.

A legend reborn
As they say this is "a legend reborn". The condition of the course is superb. A very friendly staff (all over the course, imcludin starter and marshalls). Just refurbished restaurant with nice views to the course and excellent menu.Reviewer Rating

This course is one of my husbands favourites. Since changing the configuration a little it seems to have speeded up play. It was in a good condition when we played. My only criticism is that you do have to be very careful using the buggy on some holes where there is a steep rise or fall, it is good to see that some of the paths have been reconfigured and assume this has helped. There are toilets on course. The bar area is also much improved and a nice place for a post golf beverage or meal. The fariways and greens were in good condition when we played.

Poorly Marshalled
They allowed Club sharing which resulted in very slow play. Not entirely happy with the attitude of the starter/marshal. Some Greens need exiting from the front to get to the next tee, this slows play even more. Challenging course.Reviewer Rating

One of the nicest in Costa del Sol
Great course, with 18 fair and nice holes. No surprise and very nice surrounding. This is one of the few courses on the coast where you do not have at least one 'crazy' downhiller...(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 76 Handicap: 7.8)

Very good course
Both fairways and greens in good condition. Greens slow or is it just that our home course greens are speedy.Marshall round all the time to check on progress. Busy but everyone kept the flow going

Beautiful golf course

Dodgy conditions!
Very pretty course but conditions were poor particularly around the middle of the course. They were currently working on the course so by next spring it will probably be great but would suggest trying somewhere else at the moment (Oct 17). Plus we were warned about thieves! Great to be warned but abit panicky when we kept worrying about our gear at the golf cart.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 112 Handicap: 35)

Pretty course with some issues
Pretty course, but some conditioning issues on the 14th fairway. Also as the course runs close to the road and the local hospital at this point, you are warned about theft from buggies, which is a bit of a distraction. That said, the opening and closing holes are lovely, and the staff extremely friendly. The par 5 8th is a cracking hole, as is the 18th.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 12.5)

worst course i have ever played in spain tees were not good fairways and greens ok bunkers should of bee gur clubhouse and bar shut when we finished playing would not recomend to anyone

Course that divides opnion
The course is reallyattractive and was well maintained and provides a good challenge for mixed abilities. The front nine divided our four ball with some liking the different style of the holes, others finding the number of blind shots, and trees in fairways a bit "mickey mouse". Beautiful day for golf. From tee to green the fairways were good. The greens in good condition, medium speed but difficult to read. The changing facilities are good. Do like that you can pick up cart before going to the shop. Shop well stocked for male and female golf gear. Lunch offer was very good.
