How to ruin a PGA quality course
Bonmont a few years ago was fantastic with full facilities Today it’s a total wreck. There are no staff because they are not being paid. No clubhouse facilities apart from a coffee machine!! The course is a total disgrace and Wild Boars roam freely.Reviewer Rating

A total DISASTER
I have played many courses around the world but Bonmont is without doubt the very WORST I have ever played.They said that a couple of machines had been broken but that nowhere near excuses the DISASTEROUS state of the course.
Almost all the bunkers even had bushes and trees growing in them and nowhere a grain of sand.. just large grit and STONES in bunkers.. that is if you could see the bottom for the growth.. they had not seen a green keeper for at least SIX MONTHS.
There was thick thick rough right up to the fairways where balls would never be found and quite a bit of rough in the fairways themselves.
There was a lot of unattended animal damage on the course.
Trees and thorny bushes hung over buggy paths scratching as you drove past.
The clubhouse was completedly closed and all around the clubhouse and carpark, that was falling apart, were weeds growing everywhere. There had been no maintenance there either maybe for the whole year.
This is a course, clubhouse and surrounds that show there was no interest whatsoever in maintenance.
I'm a 10 handicap player but even I deem this course UNPLAYABLE.. and should be closed.. and not even offered at reduced rates
Shame I can't post the photographs of the course on this site... they are unbelievably BAD.

Excellent Course
Tough tight and long, but a brutal challenge in high 30s even with a buggy. Some great holes and a good test of golf.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 95 Handicap: 15.4)

I had two rounds at this course in May '08 and it played brilliantly! Theres some challenging holes, especially given some of the ravines you have to hit over and the course is immaculately maintained. Am going back in May this year for another round :-)

Played here in March on a lovely day. Course is challenging and long with plenty of hazards. We found the course to be fairly empty and in tip top condition. Only criticisms would be a lot of building work going on around the course and a suprising lack of hole maps on the tee boxes but I'd still receommend Bonmont in a second.
