What the club says: Designed by Spanish genius ‘Seve Ballesteros’, it is the only 18 hole, par 72, golf course on the Iberian Peninsula that has the configuration of 6 par 3, 6 par 4 and 6 par 5 holes. On each 9, there are no two consecutive holes with the same par, making play more interesting and producing more birdie opportunities. The design incorporates 5 large lakes, which come into play on 12 of the 18 holes, spread around the relatively level terrain that has been moulded with slight mounds and hollows. All of these characteristics add to the enjoyment and challenge of playing on a course that is a fair test for players of all levels.

Great Course

Love this course

Always enjoy. Getting busier
This course is always on our list when we go to this area. Lots of wildlife. Course generally well kept. Ladies tees were poor in comparison to men's this year though which was disappointing(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 110 Handicap: 26)

Good course worth a visit
We stayed at the Alicante golf resort, nice hotel. The course had 5 temporary greens due to the hot weather in Spain but on the whole conditions were pretty good. Again I recommend a buggie. Hotel facilities were good, breakfast had decent choices although we ate out the menu in the hotel looked good. We ate at the restaurant by the pool and the meal and service was great.Reviewer Rating

the worst couse I have ever played,the fairways had been cut and the cuttings left,so no run on the ball,and the greens were in a really poor state. we had a two ball in front of us playing with one set of clubs,wher was the marshall !!

Party of 4 played in Sept 2016. Very strange course it is built and set out inside the City, fantastic design with some great holes, would not like to walk it as you under roads over roads etc., from green to next tee, some spectacular houses and apartments surrounding, we must have loosened a few roof tiles and left one or two balls in gardens and swimming pools. Only downside was the condition of the greens, very, very poor, we thought it was the time of year but apparently they have been like this for a long time.

Enjoyable course and a good test. Thinking required around the hazards including some water holes. Overall course was in excellent condition, greens ran true. Good practice facility putting green, chipping green, bunker green, driving range.
Contrary to some other reviews, I played Saturday afternoon about 3h45 round not too slow. Also found the facilities reasonable at the clubhouse. Closest course to Alicante old town, definitely will play again.
Played in a 3 club wind a serious test! Also got a discount for booking online. Round Played: April 14 Score 84 Hcp 7.6)

We are regular visitors to Alicante and really do like this hotel. We came with family (3 generations) and really loved the atmosphere of the hotel and surrounding area. We are not golfers, but there were lots of golfers in the hotel.
It was to a cheap place to stay and there are lower cost hotels within walking distance of the HUSA, however it used to be a 5 star hotel and it does retain many of the aspects that a 5 star hotel provides. I do think that breakfast should be included into the price, particularly as good cafes are just across the road.
We liked the convenience of the bar, our room and balcony, etc
The revolving door at the front may need adjusting, as it does not seem to stop and we had a small child. Hence, we had to her very carful with this door.

The course itself is very good. Fairways were great. The Ruins pretty surreal in the middle of a fairway. For new visitors beware the entrance to this course is extremely difficult to identify, mainly due to a lack of signage and it's location not being where you'd expect given the surroundings.
