What The Club Says

One of the oldest and best-known golf courses in Portugal, Estoril has hosted the Portuguese Open and Amateur Championships on several occasions. Located near the luxurious resort of Estoril and overlooking the sea, this wonderful course was designed by Mackenzie Ross who made great use of the surrounding pine trees and eucalyptuses. It is a short course at only 5,808 yards but the uneven terrain together with some tight fairways means that accuracy is the key to a successful round here. After your round, you can also enjoy a drink on the clubhouse balcony and take in the spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean.

Very enjoyable course. Nice to see a traditional old clubhouse and course. Some lovely holes and picturesque.

Near to the old Grand Prix circuit

Part of the 7 courses available via direct booking using the Cascais golf passport scheme. Interesting and enjoyable Mackenzie Ross layout from 1929. 5200 metres long set amongst eucalyptus and pines. Not the longest but still great fun

Overall this is a very nice course. Very close to our accomodation too. We had a late tee off so had buggy's. The distance between some greens and tees were quite long. If you're in a rush this isn't the course to play if you're carrying your bag. Some areas of the course are a little tired.
The fairways were well kept and the greeens were in excellent condition. I would play here again but not in a rush.

Stop for a round

In really good condition with quick undulating greens. Has some very interesting holes and definitely worth having a game

Was underwhelmed by club with lots of new building work in front. Not the greatest welcome and advice on course felt like just a number. Course In okay condition. Reasonable attention in bay after round but not much choice or aftercare with 12 of us playing there to seek a view

Not outstanding but ok

Average difficulty and presentation with fair greens.
Advise a buggy as some distance between holes.

estoril golf course is a nice course that could do with some work. great layout but untidy in places.

Playing in the sunshine in April with it being 25 c is great and the course was pleasant enough, nice layout & course & views ...very good greens
