What the club says: One of the oldest and best-known golf courses in Portugal, Estoril has hosted the Portuguese Open and Amateur Championships on several occasions. Located near the luxurious resort of Estoril and overlooking the sea, this wonderful course was designed by Mackenzie Ross who made great use of the surrounding pine trees and eucalyptuses. It is a short course at only 5,808 yards but the uneven terrain together with some tight fairways means that accuracy is the key to a successful round here. After your round, you can also enjoy a drink on the clubhouse balcony and take in the spectacular view over the Atlantic Ocean.

Near to the old Grand Prix circuit
Part of the 7 courses available via direct booking using the Cascais golf passport scheme. Interesting and enjoyable Mackenzie Ross layout from 1929. 5200 metres long set amongst eucalyptus and pines. Not the longest but still great funReviewer Rating

Overall this is a very nice course. Very close to our accomodation too. We had a late tee off so had buggy's. The distance between some greens and tees were quite long. If you're in a rush this isn't the course to play if you're carrying your bag. Some areas of the course are a little tired.
The fairways were well kept and the greeens were in excellent condition. I would play here again but not in a rush.

Was underwhelmed by club with lots of new building work in front. Not the greatest welcome and advice on course felt like just a number. Course In okay condition. Reasonable attention in bay after round but not much choice or aftercare with 12 of us playing there to seek a view

Traditional old club, seen better days

Tricky challenge
Quite hilly with a long walk from 8th green to ninth tee. Greens were quick but a bit bumpy and have some interesting undulations. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed the experience and will return.Reviewer Rating

Course is in great condition with lots of variety. Quite short but the best warm up course of any you could play. Thoroughly enjoyable and will return. Good value and worth a visit

Old fashioned club and course is tight though not overly long. Greens quick and subtle, downhill putts can be a challenge!

Great course
Definitely visiting again in the summer. Challenging and interesting course with something for everyone - big hitters and those who are more accurate than long. Friendly club. Some very memorable holes.(Round played: Mar 2018 - Score: 101 Handicap: 26.3)

The Greens!! Oh I'm having a crisis!! Have you seen the Greens!!!!
As the title says, the greens are like nothing I have played on in my life! I am not sure I will ever play on better greens in my life! completely outstanding! not a blemish, perfectly true and faster than anything I have ever ever played. The rest of the course is in similar condition and one of the best prepared courses I have ever seen. I was not expecting anything out of the ordinary and it surpassed my expectations by miles. Yes, the course is not long, and bigger hitters will find some good opportunities to score well, but this really does not detract from the course one bit. I thought the layout was really good and the motorway does not cause any problems despite how close it looks on a map. It's slightly shorter length makes it (in my opinion) especially good for anyone that doesn't hit the ball as far as some and is tired of courses that assume everyone is 250 off the tee and can hit their 9 iron 150. That said, I am in my mid thirties and hit about those distances and I would play it again tomorrow (and the day after) if I could. So if you're in the area then this is one to play!Reviewer Rating

Very Pretty, Very Short
Lovely located course, a bit too short for me. C course had a nice layout, some telling holes however a bit to short for me personally.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 78 Handicap: 8.5)

Great layout with interesting holes. Tees and fairways in great condition but unfortunately we visited on greens week so had to suffer hollow tined and sanded greens - very slow and bumpy.
