What The Club Says
The Patrick Merrigan designed Woodenbridge Golf Club is a Par 71 (72 for ladies) parkland course. The beautiful Avoca river comes into play on no less than 10 holes, each providing unique challenges for players of all handicaps.
Some of the finer holes include the 437 yard 6th, the stunning, but dangerous par 3s at 8 and 17 and the magnificent par 5 18th which begs the brave to flirt with danger from the tee.
The layout makes the best possible use of the course's stunning natural features, with the Avoca and Aughrim rivers coming into play on at least 10 holes, most notably on the spectacular, but dangerous par 3 holes -- the 8th, the 11th and the 17th -- and on the magnificent par 5 18th which begs the brave to flirt with danger from the tee by demanding a nerve-ripping drive across the water. The scorecard can truly take shape over the closing holes! Some of the finer holes also include a 448 yard dog-leg par 4 at the 6th, the toughest hole on the course. Every hole providing unique challenges for players of all handicaps.

Outstanding course, well presented.
An outstanding course set in a narrow valley, with water coming into play on several holes. Excellently maintained and in good order, greens were reasonably large with many undulations, making putting a good challenge. Easy to navigate round, with no blind shots. If you are in County Wicklow you must play this course.Reviewer Rating
