Great course in stunning scenery
Great course set in stunning scenery. Course was in excellent condition with the greens running really well. There is a real need to stay on the fairways here as the rough is quite severe. Every hole is a test but my favourite is the long par 3 10th. Very hilly but well worth a visit. Highly recommended.Reviewer Rating

Lovely Views
Writing a review of Windermere shouldn't be that hard, and I doubt it will be much different to most other reviews. It'll be along the lines of "Windermere is a gorgeous course in stunning scenery, it's not long, but it makes up for that by being fairly tight. There aren't any bunkers, but you won't always get a flat lie. Oh, and it's hilly, so take that into consideration when deciding whether to get a buggy. The greens, tees and fairways are all excellent".What else is there to say? My favourite hole is the par 3 8th.

Great little course, very well kept and professional staff in the pro shop. I didn't realise until half way round that it has no bunkers, but as every hole is so amazingly different who cares. Will definitely be back.Reviewer Rating

Windermere Golf Club
Very short course but don't let that put you off, small greens, fairways are tight and undulating with no bale out area for wayward shots. The staff in the shop were welcoming and let me have the round cheaper as there was hollow tining and sanding going on. Good views and course in good condition.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful course beautiful location
Booked for 08:04 but arrived 07:30 with no other players in sight. Ground staff busy at work. The first is quirky with the challenge of negotiating a decent natural obstacle and away we went. The fairways were well maintained well cut and clear of cuttings. The free we're even better and quick as!! There are some interesting challenging holes and the views outstanding. Well worth a visit if you get the chance.
One minor gripe was the solo female playing two balls that tee?d off after us and challenged us about teeing off early, much like she had!! She is the reason I would never join a golf club. She as good as told us she would be playing through and questioned out tee time. I chose not to question hers, or the playing of two balls or the fact the playing solo she should really wait. Had she however have spoken to guests at her club a little more politely we would happily have invited her to play through, even playing two balls.
As long as you tee off after 07:56 you will really enjoy your day out on a wonderful course. It's short and without bunkers but the challenge makes up for it. Good luck

Ace challenging course but short
Great course very challenging. Overall was a little too short but wasn't a problem. Was in immaculate condition and greens is good order. Unusual not to see a single bunker but there were enough hazards without these. Will be back to play soon but not sure we?ll have a pint at ?4.90 a goReviewer Rating

Great Challenge.
Played a Society Day on this scenic and challenging course on the 14th of April 2018. Very good condition and course management a must. You need to know your club selection. Do not be fooled by the length of this course, looked easy on the scorecard, far from it. Very friendly staff and overall worth a visit if you want good golf in the lakes. Will return for definite.Reviewer Rating
