What the club says: Wilmslow has played host to fields of European Tour stars, Open Championship aspirants and amateur golfers of the highest calibre. Nobody has taken the course apart. Yet it is not a daunting prospect for the higher handicap golfer. This is a subtle course which rewards intelligent play.

Great course
Considering the rain the area has had recently the course was in great condition. No standing water anywhere & greens rolling brilliantly. In comparison to the majority of courses in the area which are closed or have restrictions this really was a well looked after course.Reviewer Rating

Played this course on Sunday and it was an enjoyable day. Greens and fairways were in good condition considering it is the beginning of April.
Although we did not play off the back tees a slight negative would be that the course lacks a bit of character with a lot of relatively short par four holes that were very similar and not very interesting. The fairways are really wide and as such a bad shot tends to go unpunished and so I would not class it as a difficult course to play.
Although I was slightly underwhelmed it was overall a good day and a venue that will suit golfers of all abilities.

Lovely course. Some interesting holes, especially on the back 9. The par 3's are lovely.
Fairways, bunkers and tees all in excellent condition. Greens a little bit bobbly and a touch slow, but that is because of the deluge of wet weather we have had. Overall it is in superb condition for the time of year.
I would love to come back in the height od summer.

Highly overrated. Played in The Golf Guide tour today. It was short, dull and with the exception of the 18th (stunning hole) truly boring. Greens were awful. I know there was a lot of rain the night before that would have harmed the quality of the bunkers so it would be unfair to comment. They looked great to be honest. The green maintenance was carried out 3 weeks prior to this event. Plenty of time to have them reasonable. They were no better than a winter green. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE

Played Wilmslow last week for the third year in a row, what a golf course it is. Just gets better and better. Loved every minute of it, can't think of a weak hole.

Just played the course for the first time, really enjoyed the whole experience, the welcome from the shop, the golf course and the all important pint afterwards! Will be back again as this is the best I have played in Cheshire.

Played Wilmslow with two friends on a winter offer (November 2013), £99 for a three ball. Course was in great condition for the time of year, we had a bit of rain during the round but the greens/course did not get effected. Stopped in the bar afterwards and enjoyed a pint while watching players coming down the par three 9th (which I birded!). Very enjoyable day out.

Just played Wilmslow on the 'crow' winter special offer, £99 for a three ball. Little more expensive than other courses in the area but had heard good things from a couple of friends who have played the course this year. It was worth every penny! Greens better than my home course during the summer and on grass tees. This is a classy operation, good facility and easy to get to from Manchester. We will be back.

Lovely course, greens were the smoothest surface I have putted on all year. Started on the 10th and therefore finished on the delightful par 3 9th hole. Booked via the pro who advised on a quiet time and it felt like we were the only people on the course at times! Will be back!

Loved the course, what a hidden gem! Great location not far from Manchester, glad we looked it up and played somewhere different. We took a buggy but apart from 3 holes it is pretty flat and the holes that do go across the stream are great looking holes. The 18th is a cracking finishing hole.

Fantastic golf course, was in perfect condition, played it at a quiet time during the week and it was millionaires golf played in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. We will be back again!

Used to be a Junior member here many moons ago so had a trip up to see the Folks and had a quick round.
Course is exactly as I remember, I cant really find a fault with it. Fairways, greens, tees all kept very very well. It is also quite a challenging course but there are birdie holes for the big hitters. Clubhouse is very nice as are the locker rooms. Food was excellent and good value for Money.
