What The Club Says

It is the ideal type of holiday course, not too long or difficult for the moderate player provided a reasonable degree of accuracy is achieved. "Wild hitters" can be severely punished, as some of the hazards are quite unusual. The most striking is the wild cleft in the Cliffs known as "Upgang Ravine" which has to be driven when playing the 6th and 18th holes. The degree of driving difficulty on many an occasion is decided by the prevailing wind which may come from either the North Sea or the moors.

Interesting shortish clifftop course

The wind affects the play significantly, course in good general condition, some bunkers need attentions and tees a little bare, but fairways excellent.

Cracking Links!

Challenging cliff top links where the wind blows and you need to follow the fairway markers. Fantastic 7th and 18th over the deep ravine concentrates the focus big time! Very friendly clubhouse with fine local food on offer.

Short but challenging seafront course

Green winter tees make for shorter course, some temporaries and fairway mats required. Bridge now removed making for a ravine walk from tees on 7th and 18th to respective fairways a nuisance. That all said course in good winter condition and challenging when wind blows (that is most of the time), very friendly and welcoming

Hickory day out

I played there a couple of weeks ago with my hickory clubs. Fantastic course with lots of interesting holes. If you're ever in the area give them some of your money.

Short but challenging with great views

Shortish coastal course in good condition with fast greens and great views. Course split in two ways firstly by a road with 6 holes inland and 12 coast side, and secondly by a ravine that has to be driven over twice. The bridge over the ravine has been decommissioned so necessitating a 5 minutes walk down and up the ravine after both your 7th and 18th holes drives. Expect wind and the associated challenges.

The course is interesting and the greens were in good condition. Not an easy course if you don't know it with plenty of blind shots and hazards that you cannot see. It was blowing a gale throughout which made it brutal for the average golfer. There's a large ravine you play over unless playing off the red tees, and the footbridge is condemned, resulting in a very long and steep detour that has to be done twice.

Course in great condition, only negative being the bunkers that need a little more sand. Interesting layout particularly the coastal side of course. Connecting footbridge still out of commission meaning that there are two long walks (7th and 18th) down and up the ravine adding 10 minutes to the round. Pace good and friendly members.

Great short course, shame link bridge is out

Shortish course in good condition with fast greens. Great views on cliffside holes and generally an interesting layout. Shame that the link bridge over the ravine is out. Bunker sand quality needs some attention. Very friendly and good pace.

Short but interesting with tricky winds

Winter tees, fairway mats, but all greens in play, generally in good condition for time of year. Bridge out that adds 10 minutes to round that said pace of play good. Everyone friendly.

Shortish, mainly clifftop interesting course

Fairways and greens in good condition. There are a few pretty short holes but it is still challenging overall especially with the wind prevalent.12 of the holes are on the coastal side of the coast road and those 12 are split 7/5 across a ravine with two of the drives needing to carry the ravine. At present the bridge connecting the two sides of the ravine is out of commission and there is an additional 5 minute walk in each direction to circumvent this.
