What the club says: Heathland course with stunning views over the Southern Uplands. The 18-hole course is a mixture of park and heathland. It has been often described as a "hidden jewel".

At 6085 yards, that's easy on the high handicapper with a par of 71 and a SS of 70, the course offers a real challenge to the scratch man. More than that, it's worth walking for the scenery alone.

I have run various golf society outings to numerous courses and would recommend Thornhill GC to any one seeking a venue for an outing .From the initial contact with Shona in the office to the actual day being kookiness after by Kerry and Karen

A unique parkland course which will catch most new visitors out. Each hole is unique and the course was in excellent condition with quite grippy rough.

really good course but you really need to think not just hit and hope. Thought I was improving but made silly mistakes and got punished.

what a shame that this course has been so over rated. An Ok course in good condition, but at £32.50 green fee this is way over the top for what you get. Unprofessional and disinterested staff at the pay area and ground staff that ignore players. A disappointment not to be recommended
