9 hole course which isn't overly challenging. Can get boring very quickly if played a lot. Very wet in winter but usually in very good condition the rest of the year.

Good course, looking forward to coming back. The fact that it is a nine hole, all be it from different tees for each 9 holes doesn't lesson the challenge.

Interesting 9 hole course

This is a tight 9 hole course, but has 18 different tees. The tees are in good condition, the fairways were a bit inconsistent, the greens were slow but rolled fairly well. There are a couple of strong par fours, although the par fives are really long par fours. The members and staff were friendly.

Well maintained parkland course with nice views of Stone and countryside. Not as hilly as it first seems from the car park. Members and staff I spoke to very friendly and helpful. Looks like a club that would welcome new members and visitors.
Course in lovely condition,. Greens Looked lovely with nice pace and roll. Bunker sand, nice texture. Tees well marked with hole maps. 150 yard markers. drinking water on 7th tee. Fairways well cut. First cut/rough quite punishing but not ridiculously long. General layout of course logical and easy to follow, except for path from 8/17 green to 9/18 tee. Looks a well loved course with memorial plaques, seats, shelters and flower beds. Nice place to play golf. Would probably join if I lived locally. Clubhouse seemed homely with adequate facilities.

Neat, well looked after 9 hole course with genuine difference of the different tees on the 2nd 9 holes. Greens, bunkers and fairways all really good, putting some other clubs to shame. Members seemed very welcoming. Would think that this is a club you could easily settle into, if you joined. Course not as hilly as it appeared from the clubhouse. Some tight drives into tree lined fairways. The rough/first cut is fair and not too punishing. Some par 4s quite long. Not many blind shots on the course. Maybe the drive off 10 a bit scarey if you are new. Easy to underclub on 9/18 playing par 3 downhill to the green with the clubhouse just behind. All in all, a lovely little set up and totally in keeping with the area it serves.

This has got to be the friendliest golf course i have ever been to,made to feel so welcome. Do not be fooled by it only being nine holes, the different tee locations make a huge difference, course and greens and especially the bunkers in first class condition even after all the poor weather.I would highly recommend you give this course a go.Only downside changing room could do with a update,

I have only recently taken up the sport and after spending a couple of months playing my local municiple course I decided to look at becoming a member of a club. Out of all the clubs I looked at Stone seemed to be the friendliest. Being new this was an important feature for me.
I've now been a member for a month and I am so glad I chose this club. The course is great and really interesting without being too intimidating. I can't wait to see it at its best in the summer. Most importantly I have met some great people who have helped me improve greatly.
Love the place and can't recommend it highly enough

18 holes with 9 greens - just different tee off areas from front to back nine. Quite a straight forward golf course.

My home track, not a long course but quite challenging due to being quite tight off the tee in places. Greens are excellent during spring and summer months. Only 9 holes but 18 tees which do offer genuine variety on most holes. You would think a long stright hitter would be able to take Stone apart but it rarely happens!!!
