What the club says: Sheerness Golf Club was founded in 1909, and is a traditional private member’s club located on the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary, Kent. The course is a mature semi-Links 18 hole course which was once described in Golf Monthly as one of Kents best kept secrets.

First time that I have visited this course. Played on a twilight and was pleasantly surprised. Much tougher than it looks. Small fairways, punished if you were in the rough. Lots of greens domed so needed your thinking cap on when pitching and chipping. Windy!! Proper links golf

Good test, somewhat forgiving, but, as other reviews have stated, not easy to obtain a good score on. A good number of challenging par 4's. Easy to end a round with a score that you (mistakenly) thought should have been better! This is NOT a 2 for 1 voucher course. Too many 2ball and single players allowed in sequence - we were a 4 and ended up allowing 4 different 'groups' through.

Nice course ,there was hardly a soul there when I played so almost had the course to ourselves. Much tougher than it looks as its usually windy. The back 9 plays much tougher than the front as OB to the right on holes 13,14,15 and 18 and also lots of ditches. The greens were very good considering the time of year. Well worth playing.
