What the club says: Selsey Golf Course is a truly beautiful but testing 9-hole links type course. Situated next to the coast, with stunning views of the Downs as a back drop. With multiple Tee positions, this course has a par of 68 over 18-holes. Selsey Golf Course was once owned by Max Faulkner (Open Golf Champion in 1951). Few clubs can boast an Open Champion! One of the features of this course was a present left by the Luftwaffe during the second world war. This 64 foot crater is now know as Davison’s Pool and you can drive over this on the 8th and 17th.

Links style 9 hole course
We were a 3 ball with hcps from 20 to 24. The course is more challenging than it looks when you look on google earth. It has 9 greens, which were in fantastic condition for the time of year, and 18 tee boxes, creating 18 different holes. 5850 yds off the whites, combined with out of bounds on 8 holes, streams and small ponds, ensures you do need a strategic approach. It has a nice bar and the staff were very friendly. Will go back.Reviewer Rating

Very good course
An extremely wet day where the wind , rain and wet ground made it very difficult to play (I suggest a shot a hole went to the rain etc) BUT a really nice course, well laid out and challenging . Surprisingly given the conditions i was happy with quite a low stableford score and would definitely play again in better weather.(Round played: Mar 2022 - Score: 106 Handicap: 24)

Golf to the sound of machinary
The green keepers here have absolutely no respect for golfers. On multiple occasions going up and down right by players teeing off. One was cutting around the green I was playing into from 100 yds. He stopped by the side of the green, I played, hit his vehicle then bounced into the bunker, then he drove off. The pro ship opens and closes when it feels like it. Very disorganised and was charged more than I should have been with a county card.Reviewer Rating

Newbie golfer's first time...
Loved this course! 9 very varied holes, the short par 3s a welcome break from some of the lengthy holes! Fairways in excellent condition when we played in mid January.Gary the pro was friendly, knowledgeble and welcoming.
Will definately be playing there again.

Excellent value for money - just ?12 for 18 holes and a 10% off drink and food voucher for the clubhouse. A warm welcome on arrival from what I believe to be the new pro. The course, for the time of year was in great condition, greens lightning fast. A must visit if your in the area.

Arrived at the venue to be greeted by the professional. Only £14 for 18 holes which was represented a very good value for the days golf. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition despite yesterdays heavy rain. Tuesdays appear to be a quiet day, there was only our 4 ball and we saw 9 other people all day.There were no catering facilities today.

This is a really good nine hole course with slightly different tee positions for the back nine. Always in good condition and offers a challenge. The pro is very helpful too. The major downside is the two green keepers have absolutely zero etiquette, constantly mowing while you take a shot. It`s almost like they do it on purpose

Course played well for the time of year fairways soft and boggy in places greens held up well excellent value for money and very quiet midweek very tough when the wind is strong well worth checking out

We play here quite a lot. The course is always in good condition and if it's windy then it becomes quite a challenge. Green fees offer great value for money and the prices in the pro shop are also reasonable. The course offers a mix of holes some of which will challenge even low handicap golfers.

Visited for the first time with a friend who had purchased a Groupon voucher. Experience has been this is often an indication of a business in trouble trying to raise money. I think they do have a problem or two. All day there was nobody there but us ...and 3 staff were visible. The course is a 9 hole - do not be conned by the old story that you play the same hole twice off different tees - most were on the same tee box 5 yards apart. The course was flat and windy but quite open. There was masses of surface water making most holes a lottery - drainage is clearly a problem. I can't imagine who they think they can appeal to: many of the holes are quite long and suited to the better golfer - but what better golfer wants do do 9 holes twice?? The length and difficulty would put off the beginner. If you are in the area - go to Chichester GC just up the road.

nice little 9 hole course but would not say it is a true links course as not bang on the coast. Peter very friendly as we did just pitch up for a round but bar shut at 3pm. We did have the course to ourselves though. Greens could use some work but some quite difficult holes on the course with lots of OOB, i think only 2 holes did not have any - well worth £14 of any golfers money.
