An easy-walking 18-hole course, Tadcaster is set in tranquil rural surroundings and has become well established since its opening in 1990, providing a fair test for golfers of all abilities, as well as gaining a reputation for its friendly and informal atmosphere.

Little gem,
Played Tadcaster golf club today,I haven't played the course for almost 20 years,and it has matured into a lovely course,its well worth a trip out,the course is in excellent condition,the greens are exceptional,very tricky to read at times,the pace of play was quite slow,this was due to a society,who seemed to be in no rush whatsoever,but these things happen,we started as a 3 ball,but to save time we joined up with a member who was playing on his own,what a lovely man,he was very friendly,and helped us plot our way around the course,....it was a very enjoyable experience,we will definitely be playing Tadcaster a lot more in the future,.....I highly recommend playing Tadcaster,very friendly helpful staff,and a very nice course to walk around,Reviewer Rating

However greens are in poor condition - bobbly, many bald patches, and quite squishy in places. Greens on the back 9 are better than front 9 but not by much. Bunkers are hard packed.
Fairways were in need of a cut (though this was in progress whilst we played.
Friendly and helpful staff and a lovely clubhouse.

1st round 26
It is a regular course I play, the winter has been tough all round and the course is feeling it. The greens which are normally very good are being improved and with better weather I hope the course returns to previous levels. The T areas need work on a few holes but it is under review as I understandReviewer Rating

Entitled members
Played a 2 ball with my friend. Was asked to play from 10th tee as there was a womens competition on. Just about to tee off on the 10th, where the 4 ball who were playing the previous tee shouted over at me that they were playing that tee and we had to wait. The gentleman even shouted his name and told me to go quote it at the clubhouse. While I understand the rules, they were still playing the green of the 9th hole. Rather than get stuck behind a 4 ball, we went to the clubhouse where the staff member apologised for them and offered a free drink. We missed our tee time and had to start on the 1st tee. The course was in good shape and green keepers were friendly however this encounter left a bad taste.Reviewer Rating
