San Lorenzo
My second visit to San Lorenzo and sadly it seems to be in decline. Some amazing holes particularly by the nature reserve but now in need of investment. Facilities poor, no clubhouse yet and cart paths in poor repair.Reviewer Rating

Lovely but challenging course in the Wind
The course itself was in great condition. Greens were excellent. The clubhouse is being rebuilt, so only a portakabin for drinks and toilets, no food available (though they did give us a 'snack' bag to take on the course).Reviewer Rating

San Lorenzo has an incredible amount of natural / intrinsic qualities;Beautiful area of AONB. Wonderful course layout from initial design.
The staff are simply incredible hosts. Smiling and value added at all times!
The current course condition needs investment beyond the obvious of a new clubhouse;
Bunker rakes, new sand in bunkers, an overhaul of cart paths, a replacement if fire damaged bridge etc.. An increased investment in green keeper man hours to allow the condition of the course to live up to its potential.

Past Reputation
With the club house burning very limited facilities but still charging same green fee. Greens not the best especially 1 to 9. The staff in tough position but doing the best they can.Reviewer Rating

Neglected
Shame. Great layout. But in poor condition. Was told by a local they are financial troubles, and can’t even afford weed killer (and it shows).Overpriced, as they are charging premium green fees for a sub standard course.

Disappointing Condition
Bucket list course in very poor condition. The greens were very good and that was the only highlight. A number of the yellow tees had no grass and covered in sand! The fairways were poor with sections having apparently suffered from disease and struggling to grow back. The bunkers lacked a consistent sand base with many being just solid. Practice area near the clubhouse again just basically sand to hit off.I wouldn't rush to play this until it's been sorted as there are plenty of better conditioned course in the area.
