Local course.
Really like the course and the layout. Greens tees boxes in good condition. The fairway seem to be long now. More like rough. Which makes it harder. Short course with small greens bakes it a great test.Reviewer Rating

Great little course
Decent course and easy to get a tee time online. On the short side with only 1 par 5 but some fantastic par 3 holes that will challenge golfers of all levelsReviewer Rating

superb greens
Played roundwood today for the first time. Well impressed. Course in very good condition and the greens were he best I have seen on any course I have played this year. Miles better than the more expensive courses. Course narrow in places so very testing. I was happy to break 100. (scored 99). Look forward to playing it again and highly recommend it to anybody. Staff very friendly and a big thumbs up to the greenkeepers. Only small gripe I have is that maybe a few pointers to some of the tees in some parts of the course (got lost a couple of times)(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 99 Handicap: 14.8)

Great course, but the staff ? Rude !
Over the last four years I have played this course many times with friends and society colleagues and it is a lovely little find in the local area. Course is challenging in some parts and interesting in others. Five par 3’s is always good for society prizes so we do visit maybe 5-10 times a year. Course is always in decent condition. Unfortunately there are no hot drinks and food available, but there is cold stuff which is something new and appreciated. The massive downside to this course is the lady who presides over the course, who is the rudest person I have met at a course. I was amazed to watch from the car park, having arrived early, the way she stormed in and out of the club hut shouting at golfers and demanding they did this and that. When our turn came to pay we were greeted with an attitude which I can only assume is from someone who hates their job, hates golfers and wishes she was elsewhere. It has taken encouragement from probably 6 of our society lads to write this in a review but every single time any of us go there we wince at the idea of having to engage with this lady. It’s not just this once, it’s every time we go and in the past we have also been subjected to her on the course in the buggy accusing us of not paying, then finding out we have and receiving no apology. Roundwood, if you want this course to have a rep for being friendly and inviting you need to install some manners abs etiquette into the golf shop. On our recent visit we stood outside and actually contemplated walking away having been treated so badly. I also notice some other reviews on here which mention “the lady”. But the course, great little gem !Reviewer Rating
