What the club says: With no fewer than nine doglegs, accuracy in positioning from the tee is as important as length.
The greens are cunningly sloped and players would do well to watch out for features like the little upslopes designed to stop the ball at the front of at least six of the putting surfaces. Almost as many others are two tiered giving plenty of food for thought for those who play here.

Our course has a standard scratch of 71. Visitors play the yellow course which has a par of 68 and a standard scratch of 69.

Great day for group of 20

Played here at the weekend in a group of 20 golfers. The course was in great condition with the green absolutely superb! Great hospitality provided too with breakfast before the golf and dinner and drinks after. Highly recommended.

Let down due to the lack of a starter at 1st tee which creates a free for all.

Played course this week. In fine condition all round - greens running nicely true, fairways well kept, bunkers well stocked with sand. Flat parkland. Course has wide generous fairways, so you have to hit quite a bad shot to lose the ball. Enough well-positioned bunkers to punish wayward line. Multiple doglegs require good positioning to not be cut off from the green by the tree-lined fairways. Unlike links courses where the bumps and mounds require lots of very precise shots and a bit of luck, this course will forgive some.

Course is in fantastic condition for time of year. Hopefully will get even better in the summer months. New bunkers are best avoided as they are a tough test, with some very steep high faces.

Course - Very Good.
New Head Greenkeeper (May 07). Greens slick and true, general condition of the course is good and improving. A nice flat parkland course for a Day Ticket.

Club Facilities - Very Good
A good social club with friendly staff. Good golf club food with a-la-carte specials menu every now and again.

Value for Money - Very Good
Per Round / Day Ticket price reasonable. Drink reasonably priced and food no more expensive than your local pub.

Overall - Very Good
Proud to be a member of such a friendly club. Course has struggled in the past few years but there's been a vast improvement even in just the past few weeks.
