What the club says: Opened in 1978 Poulton Park is a nine hole golf course. The course has seen a number of changes over the years with the addition of new tee positions, new greens, and new ponds which offer both members and visitors a challenging test of golf whatever their handicap.

The course was in good condition bearing in mind it has not rained for over a month, this meant greens were hard and difficult to stop the ball. A tight and challenging course requiring pretty straight shots, well worth a visit.

Terrific little gem.
This is a nine hole golf course with eighteen tees. The fairways are well trimmed and the greens are immaculate (in fact a little quick!). The course is also very flat for those of us with a few years under the belt.Reviewer Rating

I cannot believe the quality of these greens. Never played here before and live quite local. Normally play Walton Hall / High Leigh. WOW. Great roll and looked beautiful.Reviewer Rating

Pleasant local course

A Thinking course
Lovely condition, Greens nice and fast and generous.Pins in some tight positions guarded by well thought out bunkers.Overall a course which rewards course management- first time I've played and lived in Warrington for 40 years. Will play again!

9 hole golf course with separate tees for the back 9. I have played here a couple of times after work with friends and the welcome from the people in the pro shop is really friendly and welcoming. There is a putting green, short game area and a couple of driving nets to get warmed up on. The course is tight in places and will be harder for those who don't hit straight. Clubhouse has changing rooms and a small bar been in on a party occasion and again staff were great.

Tight course but well kept, basically keep the ball on the fairway and you will be fine drift off and you are in trouble

Set in the elbow between the M62 and M6 is not the most promising position for a golf course but myself and two friends played here and really enjoyed ourselves. We played nine holes so didn't use all the tees. There had been plenty of rain but the course handled it very well, the fairways were very green as we're the greens. This is a pretty tight course even when the leaves have fallen from the trees, I imagine that in summer there may be even less room. I only took my driver out twice and concentrated on being straight. We had sandwiches afterwards and were well treated by the pro and clubhouse staff. We will return soon and are already looking forward to playing the course in the Summer.

Played for free during the open day, so have marked value for money good. The course had a few challenging holes and certainly requires straighter shots. If you hook and slice your shots a lot then course is not for you in my opinion. Staff were brilliant and friendly. Got caught out a few times with the little brooks running through. The course seemed well looked after and picturesque in some parts. I would have preferred a course layout on the card, maybe then I would have missed the brooks. Overall I would definitely recommend.

An excellent 9 hole course with a very friendly atmosphere. You have to be accurate to hit the fairways and plot your way around the course as each hole has clever use of bunkers, trees and water to catch the unwary
