Fantastic setting and lovely layout, just ?ok? conditions let it down,
Played this course as a visitor; it was ?18 for a pre-paid round. The course is set against a wonderful backdrop and the layout is good. The clubhouse is also really nice and with fantastic weather, it is really lovely venue. It could be a premier course if the playing conditions were just a little better. Don?t get me wrong, they were not awful, but they were just ok. There was possibly maintenance going on with the greens being over-seeded, but tees were a little bare and fairways felt a bit like ?winter? (bobbly). Despite the good deals on offer, course was not busy and we got round easily in 3.30hrs.

Disappointing Greens
A great location and wonderful parkland setting. I enjoyed the course layout and challenges, but overall the course was let down by the poor state of the greens. It doesn't seem that any work has been done on them his summer, and this is not helped by the significant number of unrepaired ball divot marks on every green.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19.6)

Very pleasant. Very warm!
Open parkland layout, with enough variety to keep a hacker like me interested. COVID restricted facilities quite a bit. But definitely worth visiting(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 88 Handicap: )

good course
some challenging holes but good for all standards of player , our society ranges from 10 to 36 and everyone liked the course

Great Parkland course with lots of trees!
We play this track every year as part of our society and this year the condition of the course was probably the best we have seen. Greens slick and true. Lots of mature trees to catch a stray drive or approach, so you need to pick your way around this course. Overall, excellent days golf, we look forward to Orchardleigh every year.

Decent course
Very good course, very welcoming and friendly ................".....................................

Perfect parkland course

Great course in a beautiful setting
Whilst this is a great course in a beautiful setting it is difficult to navigate so don't expect your best performance until you've played a few rounds and have registered the location of hazards etc.Fairways and greens are in great condition. You'll have to hit a long straight ball to score well.

Excellent Course
Brilliant course which is both challenging & has great surrounding scenery. I would recommend this course to all golfers.

Rob B
Played 25/3/19. As a local the only thing that stops me joining is the state of the course, . Fairways seem pock marked from balls plugging in the recent wet weather and the greens from what looks like unrepaired pitch marks rather than hollow tining. I fear the whole thing might be pretty grim in wet periods. Shame; glorious location and back 9 super splendid (if tight) and front 9 not too shabby. And the bar is still open if you finish after, say, 6pm which makes a pleasant change. I can put up with all this a few times a year because it is such a pleasant spot but not twice a week.

One of the best in the area
Will never tire of this course. Always gives you a chance. A little rough in places, only to be expected this time of year, early season. Greens have been hollow tined and sanded. Quite busy today but pace of play still good.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: 15.2)

Great challenging course
